– Title: “Why should we care about vulnerable accused persons?”
– Lecturer: Ms. Gillian Mawdsley. Law Society of Scotland and Criminal Law Committee. Practicing Scottish criminal solicitor currently working as a policy executive for the Law Society of Scotland. She is also engaged in teaching at various UK universities at under and post graduate level and is involved in developing and delivering training programmes on a range of legal based topics.
– Webinars structure: 20-30 minutes lecture, 15 minutes questions/interventions
– Content: The webinar will deal with vulnerable accused persons in pre-trial phase; difficulties faced and what are the consequences of not taking these difficulties into account, finally role of governments in providing proper training as a solution.
